Head Chef
Joe Mcleod
Joe started his time in the industry at the tender age of 14, working in a number Michelin starred restaurants across the country including The Bybrook Castle Coombe and Northcote Manor Langho.
As Joe developed his skills in the high end establishments he had the opportunity to become head chef at Ryan Giggs’s rosette awarded restaurant in Worsley.
After working with Ryan and his team for almost 5 years, Joe moved to a different sector of the industry and worked privately for a family cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner 6 days week before moving on to create Mcleod 9 in 2020.
General Manager
Jenny Cruickshanks
Jenny started her career, training as a chef and also front of house, working in some of Lancashire’s most prestigious venues including the Highmoor Restaurant where Jenny would end up being sous chef to the 3AA Rosette awarded kitchen.
After an illustrious career in some of Lancashire’s well known kitchens, Jenny moved her sights to teaching the new generation, and was imbedded into the role of the head of school for management, tourism, chef and foundation skills at the well renowned Runshaw college. Applying her industry expertise Jenny helped the college to win there first Rosette award for a college kitchen in 2016.
Jenny had many chefs through her ranks including our head chef Joe Mcleod, so when Joe approached her to join the Mcleod 9 team the relationship was already bolstered and lucky for us Jenny said yes!
Joining the team in May 2022, Jenny was instated as our General Manager and Head Chocolatier, creating all the homemade chocolates to enjoy at the end of your meal. Whilst with us, Jenny has also completed her WSET Level 1 qualification award in wines adding to her vast knowledge of the industry.
